Cross-border Innovation and Competitiveness Network for High Street Retail

 

The ICCO project is an initiative that seeks to modernise and make more competitive traditional crossborder
trade in Portugal (Bragança and Vila Real) and Spain (Valladolid and Zamora) in municipalities that
are at risk of depopulation, adapting it to new market demands and the latest consumer trends.

Principais objetivos do projeto ICCO:

Developing a methodology to assess the competitiveness of high street retail through a panel of sales indicators
Carry out a study on consumer behaviour and consumer trends using sales data and neuroscience technology
Sensitise consumers to the importance of high street retail for territorial cohesion and sustainable consumption
Identify and apply good practices that enable businesses to innovate and improve their offer
Advising 80 businesses in small municipalities to implement action plans
Create an Innovation and Competitiveness Network for Trade (ICCO Network) to support and share experiences between traders
Get 170 companies to join the ICCO Network to benefit from the project's results and participate in its activities
